About Irish Tax Estimator
Making Irish tax simple, transparent, and accessible for everyone.
Our Mission
Irish Tax Estimator was created with one goal in mind: to give every person in Ireland a clear, accurate, and free way to understand their tax situation.
The Irish tax system — with its income tax bands, USC tiers, PRSI classes, and various credits — can feel overwhelming. Most people accept their payslip without ever understanding exactly what they're paying and why. We believe that's a problem.
Transparency around taxation empowers people to plan better, claim what they're entitled to, and make more informed financial decisions. That's what Irish Tax Estimator is here for.
Who Is Behind Irish Tax Estimator?
Chartered Accountant
ACA · Chartered Accountants Ireland
Irish Tax Estimator is built and maintained by a qualified Irish Chartered Accountant (ACA, Chartered Accountants Ireland) with hands-on experience in Irish taxation. Every calculation, tax rate, and guide on this site is reviewed for accuracy against Revenue.ie published guidelines before it goes live.
You can reach us at hello@irishtaxestimator.com for questions, corrections, or partnership inquiries.
How We Check Our Figures
Accuracy is the whole point of this site, so every figure follows the same editorial process:
- ✓All tax rates, bands, credits and thresholds are sourced directly from Revenue.ie and official Budget documentation — never from third-party summaries.
- ✓Every calculator and guide is written and reviewed by a qualified Chartered Accountant before publication.
- ✓All calculators draw from a single, version-controlled tax configuration, so a rate change is applied consistently across the whole site at once.
- ✓Calculator outputs are manually tested against Revenue's own worked examples after each update.
- ✓The full site is updated every year after the October Budget, and mid-year when rates change (for example, the PRSI increase on 1 October 2026).
If you spot an error anywhere on the site, email hello@irishtaxestimator.com and it will be reviewed and corrected promptly.
